Trnava Poster Triennial 2006

is a public non-anonymous international competitive exhibition of posters produced between February 2003 and March, 15th 2006

The Selection Jury

appointed by the Organising Committee of TPT 2006, consisting of 9 graphic designers (1 international), selects posters for the exhibition

Categories

A – professional designers – individuals, teams
B – students of fine art academies

The International Jury

comprises 5 laureates of the Master’s Eye Award. The International Jury selects the works to be awarded. The jurors are not allowed to take part in the competition. The exhibition of works by the jurors will be presented separately. The representative of ICOGRADA takes part in the meetings of the International Jury and grants the ICOGRADA Award.

Awards

A category – Andy Warhol Award – Icograda Award – 1st Prize – 2nd Prize – 3rd Prize
B category – 1st Prize – 2nd Prize – 3rd Prize – and the special prize of the rector of The Academy of Fine Arts and design in Bratislava.

Special awards (no categories) – The Slovak Design Centre’s Award – Award of the Chairman of TTSK – The Trnava Mayor’s Award.

The International Award – Master’s Eye Award – The representatives of ICOGRADA, The Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava, The Slovak design Centre and The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava will award graphic designers, experts in the field of visual communication and art historians for outstanding achievements, organisation of events and promotion of graphic design.

Conditions (selection)

Participants may send up to 5 posters, each in two copies, published between February 2003 and the March, 15th 2006. The smallest acceptable format is A2.

The organizers reserve the right to promote and reproduce the works in the press without the author’s right to compensation.

After the exhibition, all the exhibits will be stored in the archive of The Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava.

Deadline for sending entries is March 15th 2006.
