Jan Rajlich jr (born 1950) was professor of graphic design (1983 – 1989) at the Brno School of Art and Crafts and since 1988 has been teaching this subject at the VUT University. Jan Rajlich jr was President of the International Biennale of Graphic Design Brno (1993 – 1998). He was invited to the International juries of many poster´s competitive exhibitions all over the world. He has held 25 solo shows of graphic design, poster, computer graphics, silkscreen and painting and participated in over 200 exhibitions e. g. He is listed Who is Who in Czech Republic, his portraits have been published in many texts about graphic design. He is a member of the Union of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic, the Q Art Association, the SBB Brno Biennale Association (of which he has been president since 1999), and an honorary member of Masaryk Academy of Arts in Prague and ISGD (International Society of Graphic Designers) in the USA.
At present he works in his own graphic studio (Rajlich Design) and since 1996 he has been head of the Industrial Design Department in the Engineering Faculty of the VUT University in Brno.
